According to a recent report by Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn is all set to transform his 2024 hit supernatural thriller Shaitaan into a full-fledged film franchise. The sequel, titled Shaitaan 2, is currently in the early stages of development.

Shaitaan 2: Original Cast to Return Along with New Faces
Director Vikas Bahl, who helmed the first installment, will return for Shaitaan 2. The scriptwriting is underway, and the original cast — Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika, and Janki Bodiwala — will reprise their roles. In addition, new actors will be introduced to the story.
While the first film focused on black magic and superstition, the sequel is expected to delve into dark rituals and folklore from the Konkan region of Maharashtra.

Shaitaan and Maa: A Shared Horror Universe in the Making?
Ajay Devgn is also producing another intense horror film titled Maa, featuring Kajol in the lead role. According to sources, Kajol might make a cameo in Shaitaan 2, hinting that both Shaitaan and Maa could be interconnected and part of a larger shared horror universe.
