Big Drop in Collection for Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2

Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2 were both released on 1st August. On the weekend, both movies performed well and collected good amounts at the box office. However, starting from Monday, there has been a big drop in their earnings. After a strong weekend, the collections went down on weekdays, which has surprised many in the industry.
Dhadak 2 Struggles After the Weekend
Dhadak 2 had earned around 3.5 crore rupees on its first day. On Saturday and Sunday, the movie collected about 3.75 crore and 4.15 crore respectively. But on Monday, the collection suddenly dropped to just 1.35 crore, and on Tuesday, it was only 1.65 crore. This fall has clearly affected the film’s overall performance.

Son of Sardaar 2 also faced a similar situation. The movie opened with a decent 7.25 crore on day one. It then earned 8.25 crore on Saturday and 9.25 crore on Sunday. But like Dhadak 2, its Monday collection fell to 2.35 crore and on Tuesday it made around 2.75 crore. So far, the total collection of Son of Sardaar 2 is around 30.54 crore, but the drop after the weekend has been quite noticeable.
Meanwhile, Sayyara and Mahavataar Narasimha Stay Strong
On the other hand, movies like Sayyara and Mahavataar Narasimha are still doing well at the box office. Sayyara collected 8 crore on Sunday alone, while the animated film Mahavataar Narasimha has earned 23 crore so far. Apart from these, a South Indian film called Kingdom was also released in both its original language and in Hindi, which is giving tough competition to the other films.
