Mirzapur is one of India’s most popular crime thriller web series and has earned a strong fan base across the country. Now, there’s big news for its fans – the series is getting a film adaptation titled “Mirzapur: The Film,” which is expected to hit the big screens soon.
Which Actors Will Be Part of the Film?
Although an official cast announcement is still awaited, sources suggest that Pankaj Tripathi (as Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (as Guddu Pandit), and Divyenndu Tripathi are likely to return for the film.
Interestingly, some new names have also surfaced for the film adaptation. Reportedly, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, and Mohit Malik are being considered to join the cast, bringing a fresh twist to the world of Mirzapur.
Production and Direction Details
The film will be produced by Excel Entertainment, headed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. While the Mirzapur series was originally directed by a team including Karan Anshuman, Mihir Desai, Aditya Mohanty (Season 1) and Anand Iyer (Season 2), the film version will be directed by Gurmeet Singh.

When Will the Film Release?
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the pre-production work for the film has already begun. Shooting is expected to start in September 2025, and the film is planned for a 2026 theatrical release.
The makers have confirmed that “Mirzapur: The Film” will release directly in cinemas, not on OTT. However, it will be available on OTT platforms after its theatrical run.
