What’s the Story?
Set in the Konkan region, Dashavatar revolves around the traditional folk art form of the same name and follows the life of a dedicated artist.
- Babuli Mistry — an elderly artist deeply passionate about the Dashavatar folk art
- Concerned about his age and declining health, his son Madhav (Siddharth Menon) and the village doctor urge him to stop performing.
Babuli eventually agrees to quit… but on one condition —
he will retire only after Madhav secures a job.
That moment finally arrives, and Babuli announces that his Mahashivratri performance will be his last. On the same day, Madhav plans to propose to his girlfriend, Vandana (Priyadarshini Indalkar). However, an unexpected incident turns their lives upside down and changes the course of the story.
As the narrative unfolds, the film transitions from a cultural tale to an engaging thriller, weaving together elements of folk tradition, emotional depth, crime, mystery, and suspense. Police investigations and layered character arcs intensify the storytelling.
