Ikkis is an upcoming war film and will mark Agastya Nanda’s theatrical debut. The actor, who comes from a privileged film family, admitted that giving his best performance in his second project is crucial. The film is scheduled to release on January 1 and tells the story of an unsung war hero.

Pressure of Legacy and Public Expectations

Agastya Nanda is the grandson of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan and belongs to one of the most influential families in Indian cinema. Even before entering films, he was highly active on social media and often in the media spotlight. Acknowledging this, Agastya stated that impressing both audiences and filmmakers through Ikkis is essential for him. He also admitted that he feels a strong sense of moral responsibility because of his background.

Reflection on The Archies and Learning from Experience

Agastya began his acting career with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, which was released directly on Netflix. The film was an experimental project featuring several star kids, including Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, and Vedang Raina, all of whom were already popular on social media.

However, Agastya candidly admitted that he was not fully satisfied with his performance in the film. He acknowledged that his acting could have been better and said this realization has motivated him to work harder on Ikkis.

Aiming to Impress with Ikkis

Determined to grow as an actor, Agastya believes Ikkis is his chance to leave a strong impression on both audiences and industry insiders. Coming from a family with a rich acting legacy, he is aware of the expectations placed upon him and is keen to prove his talent beyond his lineage.

Portraying War Hero Arun Khetarpal

In Ikkis, Agastya Nanda plays the role of Indian Army officer Arun Khetarpal, who was martyred at the young age of 21 while fighting for the nation. The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Jaideep Ahlawat and Dharmendra.

Originally scheduled for release on December 25, the film’s release was postponed due to the success of Dhurandhar. Ikkis is now set to hit theatres on January 1.
