according to the http://www.pinkvilla.com
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis opened to a promising start at the box office on its first day. However, the film witnessed a noticeable dip in collections soon after. Despite this fluctuation, the movie managed to recover during the weekend and register a decent overall performance.
The Agastya Nanda–starrer Ikkis recorded a respectable opening of around ₹7 crore on Day 1. However, on the second day, the film saw a sharp 50 percent drop in collections, earning only ₹3.5 crore.
Weekend Recovery Boosts Collections
The film regained momentum over the weekend. On Day 3, Ikkis collected ₹4.65 crore, followed by ₹5 crore on Day 4 (Sunday). While the makers were expecting a double-digit collection on Sunday, the film fell short of that mark. As a result, the total four-day box office collection now stands at approximately ₹20.15 crore.
Limited Star Power, Steady Performance
Featuring debutants Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, Ikkis appears slightly restrained due to the absence of major star power. Nevertheless, the film continues to post steady numbers driven by its fresh cast and strong content. Trade analysts predict a slight dip in collections from Day 6 onward, with the film expected to wrap up its theatrical run at around ₹40 crore.
Strong Supporting Cast Adds Depth
Alongside the new leads, Ikkis benefits from powerful performances by veteran actors Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. Notably, this film marks Dharmendra’s final completed project, lending his role significant emotional weight.
Agastya Nanda plays the role of Shaheed Arun Khetrapal, while Jaideep Ahlawat appears as a Pakistani Army officer, adding intensity to the narrative.
Based on the Life of Shaheed Arun Khetrapal
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is based on the inspiring real-life story of Shaheed Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, who laid down his life for the nation at the age of just 21. The film brings his extraordinary bravery and sacrifice to the big screen with emotional depth.
With powerful war sequences, emotionally charged moments from a soldier’s personal life, and a strong sense of patriotism, Ikkis stands out as a compelling and emotionally driven war drama.
