Prabhas’ Horror-Comedy Raja Saheb One-Week Box Office Report: Strong Opening, Average Week
according to the http://www.pinkvilla.com
Prabhas’ horror-comedy film Raja Saheb earned just ₹3.5 crore on its eighth day, a sharp drop compared to its opening day. Let’s take a look at the film’s total box office performance over its first week.
Big Budget Release, But Declining Earnings

Raja Saheb was released last Friday. The film recorded a grand opening of ₹53.75 crore on its first day. After a strong weekend, collections dropped significantly, with ₹26 crore on the second day and ₹19 crore on the third day.
The film received poor word-of-mouth reviews due to its weak storyline, which clearly affected its box office performance. On the first Monday, the film earned only ₹6.6 crore — nearly nine times less than its opening day figure.
The collections for the subsequent days were as follows:
- Fifth day: ₹4.8 crore
- Sixth day: ₹5.35 crore
- Seventh day: ₹5.5 crore
- Eighth day (second Friday): ₹3.5 crore
After eight days, the total box office collection stands at around ₹133 crore. The film has mostly hovered in single-digit daily collections after its initial surge.

Storyline and Audience Response
Despite being a big-budget film, Raja Saheb was only housefull for four days. The storyline failed to engage the audience, and even with a star like Prabhas, the film could not attract viewers consistently. The strong opening day earnings of ₹50 crore were largely driven by Prabhas’ fan following.
Raja Saheb, a Telugu horror-comedy directed by Maruti, did not prove to be highly engaging. The comedy is considered shallow and fails to generate laughter, while the VFX effects lack impact. The storyline is not particularly compelling, and despite featuring stars like Prabhas and Sanjay Dutt, the audience response remained lukewarm.
