A major update has emerged regarding the popular Race franchise. Producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that work on the script of Race 4 has officially begun.
Taurani stated that the Race series, known for its suspense-thriller genre, will continue with its fourth installment following the success of the first three films. In a recent interview, while sharing updates about Race 4, he revealed that the scripting process for the film is currently underway.
During the interview, Taurani was also asked whether Akshaye Khanna would be part of the fourth installment. Clarifying the matter, he said that Akshaye Khanna’s character has already been shown as dead in the franchise. Therefore, Akshaye Khanna will not appear in Race 4, nor has he been approached for the film. Despite the massive success of Dhurandhar, which has led to his name being linked with several new projects, Race 4 will not feature him.
The Race franchise is one of the most popular suspense-thriller film series in Bollywood, with three films already released. The franchise began with Race, starring Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. Due to strong audience appreciation, the series continued with multiple installments. Action and thriller elements have always been the core of the franchise, earning it consistent fan support over the years.
