according to the http://www.pinkvilla.com
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan opened up about his upcoming biopic based on the life of Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema. Aamir expressed that making a film on such a legendary figure is a matter of great pride for both him and director Rajkumar Hirani.
Aamir’s current film Sitare Zameen Par is performing well at the box office, and the actor is being praised for his dedicated performance and promotion efforts. During one of the promotional interviews, Aamir also spoke about his future projects.
He confirmed that he is collaborating once again with Rajkumar Hirani — this will be their third project together after the blockbuster successes of 3 Idiots and PK. Aamir mentioned that after wrapping up all commitments for Sitare Zameen Par, he will be fully focused on this new biopic.
Regarding the production timeline, Aamir stated that they plan to begin work on the film in the last four months of 2025. The pre-production process has already started. However, he admitted that the film poses a significant creative challenge. Unlike commercial films filled with action sequences, this biopic is based on the real-life journey of a legend who made a lasting impact on Indian cinema. Aamir said bringing Dadasaheb Phalke’s story to the screen would require great care and authenticity.

When asked if the film will carry Rajkumar Hirani’s signature comedy tone, as seen in 3 Idiots and PK, Aamir responded that Rajkumar Hirani and co-writer Abhijat Joshi naturally lean towards adding elements of humor and drama to their storytelling, so a subtle blend may be expected.
Meanwhile, Aamir’s latest release Sitare Zameen Par has crossed the ₹100 crore mark and is declared a theatrical hit. His upcoming slate of projects includes Lahore 1947, Mahabharat, Pritam Pande, and reportedly a collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj as well.
