Some rumors even claimed that the film would be directed by Sukumar, the filmmaker behind the Pushpa franchise, and that it would mark a grand collaboration between him and SRK.
However, a fresh update from Pinkvilla has now debunked all these claims. According to the report, Shah Rukh Khan is not involved in any upcoming project with Maitri Movie.
Sources quoted by Pinkvilla have confirmed that SRK is currently dedicating all his energy to King. He is expected to finalize his next project only by the end of this year or early next year. Notably, he hasn’t even had any meetings with Maitri Movie, making a collaboration at this point highly unlikely. As a result, Sujoy Ghosh exited the project, and Siddharth Anand stepped in as director.
