Veteran character actress Seema Pahwa, known for her powerful performances in Bollywood, is reportedly considering stepping away from the industry. Sharing her concerns about the current state of Bollywood, she voiced that the industry is falling into the wrong hands.

Seema Pahwa has played a variety of memorable roles in numerous acclaimed films, including Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Even when sharing screen space with top stars, her performances have consistently left a strong impression on audiences.

However, in a recent interview, Seema Pahwa expressed serious concerns about the direction in which Bollywood is headed. She said, “I feel like I may soon have to say goodbye to the film industry. The current state of the industry is very disturbing. It seems as if the creative minds in the industry have been murdered.”

She further remarked that the film industry has now completely fallen into the hands of businessmen. “They are running the industry with a purely business mindset, but artists who have been working for years cannot adapt to this environment,” she said, indirectly criticizing current producers and directors in Bollywood.

Seema Pahwa emphasized that artists like her, who play key character roles alongside big stars, also contribute significantly to the industry. Yet, she feels that creativity is being sidelined in today’s Bollywood. She lamented that the industry is suffering because of this shift, with one box office failure after another.

She pointed out that there is now a lack of good storytelling, strong performances, and solid direction in films—elements that once defined Bollywood. “Artists like us can no longer work in such an atmosphere,” she concluded.
