Imtiaz Ali recalled that when he was planning to meet Sunny Deol, people warned him that he was going to pitch a story to an action hero where the hero gets slapped in the face. They suggested that Sunny might get angry with the story, and things might not go well. Imtiaz mentioned that he had never met a big star before.
When Imtiaz Ali went to meet Sunny Deol, the actor suggested they meet either before or after the shoot. However, during that time, there was a heavy downpour, and the shoot was delayed. Imtiaz Ali used this opportunity to narrate the full story to Sunny Deol. Imtiaz Ali also mentioned that Sunny Deol was very kind and humble. He immediately agreed to the project without asking about Imtiaz’s past work.
