Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is currently busy promoting his upcoming courtroom drama ‘Haq’. He has been giving interviews with his entire team and attending multiple promotional events alongside his co-star Yami Gautam.
In one such candid interview, Emraan shared what his son thinks about his intimate on-screen image. Since his son is now a teenager, the actor openly discussed how his son feels about his father’s early bold roles and adult-themed movies.
His Son’s Honest Feelings
Emraan revealed with a smile,
“My son feels quite embarrassed about some of my bold and adult roles from the early days of my career. In school, his friends often tease him about my on-screen image. Once he jokingly told me, ‘Dad, you’ve made school life so difficult for me! Everyone calls me an ‘intimate coach.’ I have to face this every day!’”
The Journey of Emraan Hashmi’s Bold Image
Emraan Hashmi became widely known in Bollywood as the ‘Kisser Boy’. At the start of his career, on-screen intimacy and bold content were rare in Hindi cinema. However, with films like ‘Murder,’ ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne,’ ‘Jannat,’ ‘Aksar,’ and ‘The Train,’ Emraan broke the mold and became the face of bold storytelling in Bollywood.
His grey-shaded characters and passionate romantic scenes struck a chord with audiences, making him one of the most talked-about stars of the 2000s. Today, however, Emraan admits that his now-grown son feels a little embarrassed about that phase of his career.
