Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost was a very important film in Abhishek’s life. However, how the film was offered to him and how long it took Abhishek for this film, has been given by the director of the film, Apoorva Lakhia. This film was Apoorva’s first film as a director. Apoorva has previously worked as an assistant director in Lagaan.

In an interview about this film, Apoorva Lakhia has shared some things about the film. In it, he said, “When I shared the story of this film with Pehlaj Nehrani’s son Vicky, he agreed to produce the film. Apoorva was going to cast Abhishek Bachchan for this film. For this, Apoorva had gone to Abhishek to tell him the story of this film.

Furthermore, Apoorva said that Abhishek liked the story of the film immediately. However, Abhishek took almost six months to make the film. When I went to meet Abhishek after six months, Abhishek said that he did not want to work in the film. Apoorva has told about Abhishek. Abhishek is a very temperamental person. When you first approach him, you will be asked for water. If he calls you in a half-hour, he will offer you coffee.

You would understand that your work is progressing. For the fourth time, you will be offered dry fruits. This will be the green signal for your work. And after that, if you are offered a sandwich, you should understand that the shoot is going on. It is about to start. But the complete opposite of what I had thought happened to me. When I went to meet him after six months, he told me. The film should be made, not with you but with someone else. I got very angry about that and I snatched the script from him.

After that, a week later, Abhishek’s secretary called him. Apurv had made up his mind to apologize. He felt bad because he spoke rudely to Amitabh Bachchan’s son. Later, when he went to meet Abhishek again, Apurv asked him if he was angry. To this, Apurv  replied, of course. You are Amitabh Bachchan’s son. So it won’t make any difference to you. But 6 months of my life were wasted. I live in a rented room of 6 thousand rupees, I have to think about it.
