The makers of the geopolitical action thriller Tehran have released its first official poster, revealing John Abraham and Manushi Chhillar in fierce new avatars. Both stars are seen holding guns, set against a dramatic cityscape that likely portrays Tehran, reflecting the film’s espionage-driven, high-stakes narrative. John’s rugged, bearded appearance and intense gaze reinforce the serious and gritty tone, while Manushi appears ready for action as his key ally in the drama

Directed by Arun Gopalan, Tehran is grounded in real-world events and written by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma. The film grapples with international conflict and covert operations, with lead performances by John Abraham, Manushi Chhillar, Neeru Bajwa, Madhurima Tuli, and Elnaaz Norou

Initially slated for a theatrical release in 2023, Tehran faced multiple delays. The producers recently confirmed a direct OTT release on ZEE5, scheduled during India’s Independence Week—most likely August 14, 2025. The film’s official trailer will be launched on August
