Statement from Rakesh Roshan
Director and producer Rakesh Roshan confirmed that the complete story for Krrish 4 is ready. However, given the film’s scale, a large budget is required. He stated,
“It is my responsibility to bring the story to life as it is. No creative compromise will be made. Once we secure the full budget, we will begin work immediately.”
The direction of the film will not be handled by Rakesh Roshan himself; it will be assigned to a young director. Some reports also suggest that Hrithik Roshan may take on the director’s role.
Studio and Funding Challenges
Both Yash Raj Studios and Aditya Chopra had initially shown interest in funding the film. Over the past few years, multiple meetings were held with Hrithik Roshan. However, Yash Raj Studios has now stepped back from the project.
The primary reason is the massive estimated budget of around ₹500 crore. According to Aditya Chopra, the budget should not exceed ₹350 crore. Consequently, he too withdrew from the project. Hrithik Roshan is now seeking the right studio and funding partners.
