Pan-India superstar Rajinikanth is all set to return with his signature action-packed style in his upcoming film Coolie. The film has already created significant buzz among audiences across the country. Adding to the excitement, another South Indian superstar, Nagarjuna, will be seen playing the main antagonist in this high-profile project.
However, Nagarjuna didn’t immediately accept the negative role. In fact, he carefully considered the offer before giving his nod. Known for his heroic image in South Indian cinema, Nagarjuna recently opened up about how thoughtful he had to be before agreeing to portray the villain opposite a superstar like Rajinikanth.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Nagarjuna revealed that he listened to the script from director Lokesh Kanagaraj not once, but seven times before signing the film. Although he liked the storyline right from the first narration, it was the nature of the negative role that made him pause and think. Concerned about how the character might impact his on-screen image, Nagarjuna took his time before finally agreeing to play the villain.
