Babu Bhaiya from Hera Pheri — the iconic character played by Paresh Rawal — has confirmed via Twitter that he will no longer be a part of the upcoming comedy franchise Hera Pheri 3, directed by Priyadarshan. The reason behind his departure has left fans shocked. Read ahead to know more.

Paresh Rawal has given fans of the Hera Pheri franchise a major jolt by deciding to step away from the third installment of the beloved comedy series. The makers were reportedly very excited about reuniting the iconic trio of Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty), and Baburao (Paresh Rawal). But now, the dream of seeing all three characters together again may remain unfulfilled for audiences.

The veteran actor, who immortalized the role of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the hit films Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri, addressed the situation on Twitter. Contrary to media reports, he clarified, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there are no creative disagreements with the filmmaker. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan, the film director.”

However, according to certain sources, Paresh Rawal reportedly had creative disagreements with the makers, which ultimately led to his decision to exit the project.

In a past interview with Lallantop, Paresh Rawal had shared his thoughts about Phir Hera Pheri, stating that a sequel should evolve in theme and storyline. He believed Phir Hera Pheri lacked creative innovation. He even mentioned repeatedly telling director Neeraj Vora to keep the story simple and avoid overloading the film with unnecessary elements.

In a more recent interview, Paresh Rawal also expressed his desire to take on fresh and diverse roles, rather than being stuck in repetitive ones. Still, fans continue to hold deep affection for the character of Baburao. His presence in memes, jokes, and internet culture keeps him alive in the audience’s minds — proof of the character’s lasting popularity.

Now, the big question is: who will step into Paresh Rawal’s shoes as Baburao, or will the character be written out altogether? Let’s wait and watch how the makers handle this twist.
