The upcoming comedy-drama film Rahu Ketu, starring Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, has received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). With the certification process now complete, the film is officially ready for its theatrical release.
The CBFC suggested several modifications, after which the film was granted a UA 16+ certificate. During the review process, certain scenes and dialogues were either removed or altered. References to drug consumption and specific alcohol brands were deleted. Additionally, gestures involving the “middle finger” were replaced with “pinky finger” gestures in multiple scenes.
Changes Suggested by the Certification Board
In one particular scene, the filmmakers were asked to submit an authenticity letter for the use of a Sanskrit shloka. Furthermore, background music from the film Kantara, which appeared in one sequence, has been removed. After implementing all the recommended changes, the CBFC approved the film for release.
