Rajkumar Santoshi’s cult classic Andaz Apna Apna has officially been re-released, and audiences were eager to revisit the iconic comedy. Released alongside it was Emraan Hashmi’s intense war drama Ground Zero. Let’s see how both films performed at the box office.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Andaz Apna Apna originally released in 1994 and marked the first on-screen collaboration between Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. While the film didn’t fare well at the box office back then, it gained a massive cult following over the years through television and digital reruns, prompting a much-anticipated re-release.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the re-released version of Andaz Apna Apna collected approximately ₹25 lakhs on its opening day. It picked up slightly over the weekend, earning ₹30 lakhs on Day 2 and ₹10 lakhs on Day 3. Over four days, the film amassed a total of around ₹1.25 crore.
The movie features Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles, with Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor playing memorable supporting characters. Despite being considered a flop during its original release, it’s now regarded as one of Bollywood’s all-time comedy classics.

In contrast, Ground Zero, starring Emraan Hashmi in a powerful military role, had a stronger opening. The film earned ₹1.15 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹1.9 crore on Day 2, ₹2.15 crore on Day 3, and ₹0.63 crore on both Day 4 and Day 5. The total five-day collection stands at ₹6.46 crore.
While Ground Zero clearly leads in terms of total earnings, Andaz Apna Apna has drawn in nostalgic viewers and fans of classic Bollywood comedy.
