Director Prashanth Neel has confidently stated that ‘Salaar 2’ will be the best film of his career. After completing the first part of Salaar, he revealed that he is investing even more effort, scale, and focus into creating a far superior second installment.

Prashanth Neel Was Not Fully Satisfied With ‘Salaar’
A 2024 interview clip of Prashanth Neel is currently going viral on the internet. The interview was recorded when Salaar completed one year since its release. In the clip, he admitted that he wasn’t fully satisfied with the first part of Salaar.
During the interview, he was asked: “After the enormous success of KGF, what made you decide to make Salaar?”
Prashanth Neel replied that his main wish was to see packed theatres, where audiences enjoy the film on the big screen. To a great extent, this wish did come true, as Salaar grossed nearly ₹600 crore worldwide.
However, critics felt that the film’s writing and execution could have been stronger — a point Prashanth Neel himself agreed with.

“I Worked Less on Salaar… But Not Anymore!” — Prashanth Neel
In the same interview, Neel openly admitted:
“I worked a little less on Salaar, and I’m disappointed in myself for that. Maybe after KGF, I became a bit relaxed.”
Learning from that experience, he made a firm promise:
“‘Salaar 2’ will be the best film of my career. I have written the strongest script of my life for this film. I am attempting things that even I never imagined I could do.”
