according to the  http://www.pinkvilla.com

The much-loved 2006 cult comedy film Khosla Ka Ghosla is all set to get a sequel. The sequel has officially been announced, and work on the project is expected to begin soon. Details about the returning cast and the production timeline are gradually being revealed.

Only Huma Qureshi has been confirmed for the sequel so far. While talks are ongoing, the return of original cast members like Anupam Kher and Boman Irani has not yet been finalized. The script for the film has been completed, and it will be directed by Umesh Bist.

Much like the original, this film will also fall under the comedy genre, with shooting scheduled to begin in November 2025. The makers are aiming for a 2026 release. Interestingly, there are also discussions about turning the Khosla Ka Ghosla sequel into a full-fledged film franchise. The sequel will be produced under the T-Series banner.

One of the highlights of the film is that Huma Qureshi will play the lead role, and she is currently the only confirmed cast member. There is strong speculation that she will be joined by several other prominent actors, making this potentially another multi-starrer comedy. If the new film follows the pattern of the original, it could turn into a full-blown ensemble comedy.

The original Khosla Ka Ghosla, released in 2006, was directed by Dibakar Banerjee. It was a dark comedy that featured a stellar cast including Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and Parvin Dabas. The film was a major hit at the box office and has since become a cult classic. The sequel is expected to follow a similar dark comedy tone.
