Bollywood’s King, Shah Rukh Khan, continued to uphold his legendary legacy by attending the WAVES summit organized by the Government of India. His presence added star power and elegance to the event. During the summit, Shah Rukh participated in an intellectual panel discussion where he shared insights about his journey and work in the entertainment industry.

His attendance at WAVES was a major highlight, recognizing his immense contribution to Bollywood and Indian cinema. The summit also saw the presence of other notable celebrities including Kareena Kapoor, producer Karan Johar, and Akshay Kumar. From the South Indian film industry, icons like Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, and Mohan Babu spoke about their contributions to the world of entertainment.

In one of the panel discussions, Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone, and Shah Rukh Khan addressed the audience and shared their thoughts. Karan Johar highlighted Shah Rukh’s journey in Bollywood and asked him about being an outsider. Responding to this, Shah Rukh said that while terms like “outsider” and “insider” are often heard nowadays, they aren’t what truly matter.

“What matters is not where you come from,” Shah Rukh said. “What matters is how you carve your place in whatever field you’re in. Many people think being an outsider is a disadvantage and believe opportunities only come to those with connections. I had no big background, but the moment you start feeling sorry for yourself, you stop giving your 100%. You have to focus on creating your own space — the world will eventually embrace you.”

He further added, “The audience doesn’t care where you come from. What they care about is your hard work. Think about how you want to enter this world and understand how the industry works. I myself am an outsider, but I never let that limit me. From day one, the industry welcomed me with open arms.”
