RC 16 Postponed Due to Netflix Rights Acquisition; Janhvi Kapoor and Ram Charan to Appear Together

According to the latest update from Pinkvilla, the film RC 16, which was tentatively titled, has been postponed. The release date of the film has been pushed forward due to Netflix acquiring its rights. In this sports drama, Janhvi Kapoor and Ram Charan will be seen together. It remains to be seen when the film will finally release.

As per a report, the sports drama has now been postponed from 2025 to 2026. The request for the delay came after Netflix bought the OTT rights of the film. No further reason for the delay has been revealed yet.

This sports drama will feature Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady, with Ram Charan, Mirzapur fame Divyendu Tripathi, and Shiva Rajkumar as part of the star cast. The musical score for the film will be composed by A. R. Rahman.

This is Janhvi’s second Telugu collaboration. Previously, she made her Telugu debut in Devara with Junior NTR. Additionally, this will be her second sports drama film. She was previously seen alongside Rajkummar Rao in Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, a cricket drama that received a good response from the audience. Janhvi will also be seen with Siddharth Malhotra in Param Sundari.

Kiara Advani also starred in the film. After RC 16, Ram Charan will be seen with Sukumar, the director of Pushpa, in their upcoming project.
