Vishnu Manchu’s much-anticipated mythological film ‘Kannappa’ is all set to make its digital debut soon. The makers have officially announced the OTT release date and confirmed the streaming platform.

The film had previously released in theatres some time ago, and after a long wait, it will now be available to audiences via digital streaming. The announcement was made by Vishnu Manchu himself, who is also the producer of the film. With this update, the wait of eager fans is finally coming to an end.

The digital rights of Kannappa have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video, and the film will be available for streaming from September 4. Viewers will now be able to enjoy this grand mythological tale on their mobile phones, laptops, or smart TVs at home.

The story revolves around Thinnadu, a tribal hunter who begins as an atheist but gradually transforms into a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva. His journey is one of faith, sacrifice, and redemption, ultimately making him one of Shiva’s greatest worshippers.

Kannappa was released in multiple languages across India on June 27. However, the film received a lukewarm response at the box office. It collected around ₹32 crore in India, and its overseas performance was also average. Despite this, the film is expected to perform much better on OTT, where mythological content often finds a more receptive audience.
