YRF’s Upcoming Spy Universe Film Alpha Wraps Up Shooting After Extensive Patchwork
according to the http://www.pinkvilla.com
The shooting of YRF’s much-anticipated spy universe film Alpha has finally been completed. After undergoing significant patchwork and additional filming, the movie has now reached its final stage. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles.
Delay Due to Additional Patchwork
The filming of Alpha had been underway for quite some time but was delayed beyond its original schedule. The primary reason behind this delay was the extensive patchwork carried out to enhance the film.
Producer Aditya Chopra reportedly decided to make certain changes and add new sequences to make the film more impactful and refined. Had it not been for these additional shoots, the movie would have wrapped up much earlier.
Learning from War 2’s Box Office Performance
The film has been in production for a long period, and one of the reported reasons is the underwhelming box office performance of War 2. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the big-budget film starred Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR but did not meet expectations commercially.
Taking lessons from that experience, the makers of Alpha reportedly implemented necessary improvements and reshot certain portions to avoid repeating past mistakes.
YRF’s First Female-Led Spy Film

Alpha is considered a special project for Yash Raj Films as it will be the first female-centric film in the YRF Spy Universe. Until now, the franchise has primarily featured male spies in leading roles.
In Alpha, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be seen performing high-octane action sequences as powerful female agents. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail and is said to be an action-thriller packed with intense drama and suspense.

Continuing the Spy Universe Legacy
The YRF Spy Universe has previously delivered blockbuster hits such as Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan.
Although War 2 reportedly did not receive the expected response, the makers are taking extra precautions with Alpha to maintain the franchise’s successful track record. The film is expected to release toward the end of the year.
