Known for his bold opinions and no-filter statements, Anurag Kashyap is once again in the spotlight. In a recent interview, he was asked about the possibility of making a biopic on Indian cricketer Virat Kohli — and, as expected, his answer was direct and thought-provoking.

“Virat Already Lives in People’s Hearts — I’m Drawn to Untold Stories” – Anurag Kashyap

When asked if he would like to make a biopic on Virat Kohli, Anurag promptly responded, “No.” Explaining his reasoning, he said:  “Virat Kohli is already an inspiration to millions. His achievements, career, and life are widely admired, especially among the youth.”

He further added, “If I ever make a biopic, it would be on someone who has done great work but never got recognition — someone whose story is yet to be told.”

“Virat’s Life Is Beautiful… But Too Straightforward”

Speaking about Virat’s personality, Anurag said:
“I know him personally. He’s emotional, sincere, and a wonderful human being. But his life is quite stable and sorted. I usually choose stories that are more complex and layered.”

On Shah Rukh Khan – “He Personally Calls When He Likes Something”

In the same interview, Anurag shared his experience with Shah Rukh Khan, saying:
“If Shah Rukh likes something I’ve done, he calls me personally. He called after watching ‘Sacred Games’ and ‘AK vs AK’ and shared detailed feedback.”

About “Nishanachi”

Anurag Kashyap’s latest film “Nishanachi” is currently running in theatres. It’s an action-drama that stars Aishwarya Thackeray (grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray) in the lead role, alongside Monika Panwar, Vedika Pinto, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra in a fresh ensemble cast. Though the film had a modest opening, it’s receiving mixed reviews from audiences.
