Biopic “Ajey” Off to a Slow Start at the Box Office – Check Out the 3-Day Collection

according to the  http://www.pinkvilla.com

“Ajey”, a biopic based on the life of Yogi Adityanath, has had a sluggish start at the box office. Centered around a political theme, the film has recorded relatively low collections in its first three days and is currently considered a “slow starter.”

On its opening day, the film earned ₹25 lakh. It received a better response from North Indian audiences, particularly Hindi-speaking viewers. However, it failed to attract a substantial mass audience from across the country.

On the second and third days, the film collected ₹43 lakh and ₹50 lakh respectively, bringing its 3-day total to ₹1.18 crore. Though these numbers are not very high, they are modestly decent considering the competitive environment in theatres.

Currently, the film faces direct competition from “Baaghi 4”, “Param Sundari”, and the recently released “Jolly LLB 3”, all of which are playing in theatres.

“Ajey” chronicles the life journey of Yogi Adityanath, tracing his transformation from a simple monk to one of India’s most powerful political figures. The film was released on 19th September 2025.

Yogi Adityanath is a prominent figure in Indian politics. His journey from a spiritual ascetic to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is nothing short of inspiring. Known for his strong Hindutva ideology and decisive leadership, Yogi has remained a controversial yet influential leader. “Ajey” captures this extraordinary transformation on screen.

Directed by Ravindra Gautam, the film features Anant Joshi, known for his role in 12th Fail, in the titular role of Yogi Adityanath. The supporting cast includes Paresh Rawal, Dinesh Lal Yadav, Ajay Mengi, Pawan Malhotra, Rajesh Khattar, Garima Vikrant, and Sarwar Ahuja in significant roles.

In the teaser, Anant Joshi is seen dressed as a monk, bearing a striking resemblance to the real-life Yogi Adityanath. His portrayal appears to effectively capture the essence of the character. Paresh Rawal plays the role of Yogi’s spiritual mentor in the film.
