The trailer of ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ was officially released on October 14. Like the first installment, this film continues to be a romantic family drama, but this time with a fresher cast and more comedy added to the mix.

A Fresh Twist with New Characters

Starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, this sequel introduces several new characters who play an important role in the storyline. Apart from the original leads, the film now features R. Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Meezaan Jafri, Ishita Dutta, Janki Bodiwala, and Sanjeev Seth in key roles.

Plot – A New Conflict Begins

In keeping with the original storyline, the plot still revolves around Ashish, a middle-aged man, and Ayesha, a woman in her mid-20s. In this sequel, the introduction of Ayesha’s family, especially her father, becomes central to the drama. The chemistry between Ashish, Ayesha, and their families is the core element of this sequel.

The story takes a humorous and emotional turn as Ashish tries to impress Ayesha’s parents, leading to several laugh-out-loud and heartfelt moments.

Flashback to Part One

Released in 2019, the original ‘De De Pyaar De’ was a romantic comedy starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh. Directed by Akiv Ali, it portrayed the relationship between a 50-year-old divorced NRI and a much younger woman. When he brings her to India to meet his family, chaos and comedy ensue.

What’s New in the Sequel?

The sequel picks up where the previous film ended. This time, R. Madhavan plays the role of Ayesha’s father, who strongly disapproves of her relationship with Ashish due to the significant age gap. The central conflict of the story stems from this opposition, offering a rich blend of comedy and emotional depth.
