A brave and emotional teaser for the film has been released, hinting at an intense war story based on the real-life sacrifice of Param Vir Chakra awardee Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.

From Crime Thrillers to a Patriotic Tale

Known for critically acclaimed crime thrillers like Andhadhun, Johnny Gaddaar, Agent Vinod, and Naam Shabana, Sriram Raghavan is now stepping into a new genre. Ikkis is based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war, particularly the Battle of Basantar, and tells the heroic story of a young Indian soldier who laid down his life for the country at just 21 years old.

Agastya Nanda to Play Arun Khetarpal

The film marks Agastya Nanda’s first war role, where he portrays the valiant Arun Khetarpal. Jaideep Ahlawat will also be seen in a prominent military role. dharmendra also part of the film.  The film is being produced under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, known for backing both content-driven and commercial cinema. This is Maddock’s second big-budget war film following Sky Force.
